Card Cupids Card and Cuddle Care Package Event

Looking for a creative idea for a birthday party or event? Interested in doing something to brighten the day of a child in need? Host a Card Cupids Card and Cuddle Care Package Event, a fun event for everyone regardless of age! Each guest creates two cards, one to take home with them and one to be donated to a child in need. Not only will guests enjoy the activity of creating a card, studies have shown that people benefit from an increased self-esteem and sense of belonging when participating in a service project. To make your event a success, follow the instructions below for a DIY Card Making Kit.

DIY Card Making Kit Suggested Supplies:

- One piece of 8 1/2 x 11 white or cream cardstock for each participant, cut in half to create 2 sheets that are 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and then folded in half to create two 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ cards
- A variety of 12×12 or 6×6 patterned paper or colored cardstock. We recommend having at least 4 different coordinating patterns/colors for the participants to choose from. It can be helpful to cut the 12″ x 12″ cardstock into 6″ x 6″ size to make creating easier.
- A variety of coordinating embellishments such as buttons, stickers and ribbons (remember, loose glitter is not permitted on donated cards)
- Glue sticks and glue dots
- Card Cupids Exclusive Digital Stamps available at our ETSY shop or other images printed (be sure to size the images so that they will fit on your cards).
- Markers and/or Crayons for coloring digital stamps or other images

Allow the participants to color, cut, glue, design and create as they see fit. Once they have completed their cards, have them sign the inside of their cards. Keep in mind that Card Cupids does not send “Get Well” cards. Sentiments should be general in nature (examples: “Have a Great Day”, “Sending Smiles Your Way”, “Thinking of You” etc.). Cards should be signed with the participant’s name and state (example: Card Cupid Johnathon from New Jersey). Once the cards are completed, ensure that all embellishments and paper are well adhered so that cards do not come a part in transit. Place completed cards into envelopes but do not seal the envelope and place all envelopes into one large envelope to be mailed to Card Cupids. Card Cupids also accepts donations of new, full size stuffed animals which we send in our Card and Cuddle Packages. If you would like to, you can ask participants to bring a stuffed animal donation when they attend your event.

Card Cupids Card & Cuddle Package events are great for card making groups, children’s birthday parties, church outreach groups, scout groups and so much more!
